- Background of Construction
- The Julpo Intercity Bus Terminal was constructed to spur economic activity and enhance convenience of transportation in the Julpo region in Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
- Development
- The Julpo Intercity Bus Terminal is a temporary terminal used by intercity buses that connects Jeongeup, Gochang, Buan, and Gyeokpo. Located at 10 Julpo 6-gil, Julpo-myeon, Buan-gun, the terminal serves as the de facto gateway to Julpo. The building was constructed in 1972 by the Jeonbuk Express Bus Company and has remained much the same. The terminal includes a small lobby and a sundry shop that also sells bus tickets.
- Current Status
- The terminal consists of two parts: the Intercity Terminal and Farming & Fishing Town Bus Terminal. The Intercity Bus offers routes that pass through Jeonju, Jeongeup, Gimje, Iksan, Gunsan, Heungdeok, Gochang, Gomso, Naesosa Temple, etc. As of 2020, the bus fares are as follows: KRW 6,700 to Iksan / KRW 7,600 to Gunsan / KRW 6,400 to Daeya / KRW 5,200 to Mangyeong / KRW 4,300 to Gimje / KRW 2,200 to Buan / KRW 1,300 to Heungdeok / KRW 2,500 to Gochang / 3,800 to Gyeokpo / KRW 2,400 to Jeongeup / KRW 6,500 to Jeonju.
