- The Gomso Intercity Bus Terminal was built to provide more convenient public transportation for inhabitants of Gomso, Jinseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, where the population has increased of late due to the proximity of the Gomso Salt Field and Gomso Port.
- Development
- In 2018, at the suggestion of the owner of the nearby Jeonbuk Supermarket, the platforms of the Gomso Intercity Bus Terminal were finally equipped with shelters to protect waiting passengers from rain and the elements.
- Current Status
- Located in Gomso, the center of Jinseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, the Gomso Intercity Bus Terminal is a simple terminal where intercity buses to Buan, Jeongeup, and Gyeokpo make brief stops.
Intercity bus lines include the line to Julpo & Jeongeup [07:30, 08:15, 10:00, 14:10, 16:20, 18:10, 20:10], the line to Buan, Gimje, and Jeonju [09:50, 11:35, 13:50, 15:10, 18:15], and the line to Naesosa [09:15, 10:50, 13:05, 17:35]. As of June 2020, the bus fares are KRW 1,500 for Julpo; KRW 3,000 for Buan; KRW 3,900 for Jeongeup; KRW 5,600 for Gimje; and KRW 9,300 for Jeonju.
The rural bus lines include lines to Julpo/Buan and to Naesosa. The buses to Julpo/Buan depart at 07:15, 08:16, 09:25, 10:00, 10:40, 11:40, 12:40, 13:22, 13:58, 14:39, 15:57, 16:40, 17:19, 17:49, 18:27, 19:38, and 20:20.
